The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Michael Sheen (who portrays Aro, a member of the Volturi guard - pictured in full below - in the film) had an interview with the BBC recently where he talked about his part in New Moon and how his daughter helped to influence his role.
Before he could announce his participation in the film, even to his own daughter it seems, he had to do a little research. His daughter, a Twilight fan, was just the ticket.
Said he, according to the BBC,
"When they first asked me if I wanted to do it, I hadn't read the books or anything, so I had to ask my daughter what the character was like without tipping her off… because I didn't want to get her all excited if I didn't end up doing it.
"She said she thought Aro, my character, was bald but he's got long black hair so I hope I haven't ruined it for her by not being bald. She cried when I told her.
"No matter what happens I have to be at the premiere in LA. That's the whole reason she wanted me to do it, so she could go to the premiere."
Sheen also remarked upon the nature of security upon the set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon and his perception of visiting fans of the series. In doing so, Sheen was very complimentary toward the candor of fans with the set participants, and he found the heavy security a bit perplexing as well.
